More from the Royal Southern Yacht Club Trust
in RSrnYC Charitable Trust
| First, a progress report on the first recipients of grants from the Trust: we were delighted that Andrew Sinclair did not just to go to Eurocat 2008 in the RYA Hobie Dragoon team, but came back with the 1st prize having counted only wins on his score card. Well done Andrew. Hamble Sea Scouts now have new sails for one of the Bosun dinghies, while the other three recipients are currently still preparing for their big events. |

Royal Southern Awards First Trust Grants
in RSrnYC Charitable Trust
The Royal Southern Yacht Club's Charitable Trust has distributed its first grants to five recipients.
Launched last September at Southampton Boat Show, in the presence of HRH The Princess Royal, the Trust's aim is to encourage and enable sailing for all, and most of the inaugural grants are to young sailors. |
| The funds for the twice yearly grants are derived from interest accrued on legacies to the Royal Southern Yacht Club, the initial funding coming from a bequest from the late Sir Michael Cobham, a long term member of the Club. |
