Speaker Pete Smith was born in Hull in 1936 and has always had a passion for music. For the past 65 years, whilst playing the Bass Trombone in a variety of musical genres, he has gathered numerous stories that he imparts to his audience in a way which is both enthusiastic and amusing.

Salmon with a dill and white wine sauce, new potatoes set on fine cut vegetables followed by Summer berry pudding with crème anglaise.

Meet in the Upper Bar at 12noon

Gentlemen's Lunch report

The sell-out inaugural Gentlemen's Lunch organised by the Ladies Committee can fairly be described as a great success.
The highlight of the event, however, was the post-lunch speech by Noj White, who entertained the assembled with numerous tales of his career with BOAC and later British Airways as a Concorde and Boeing 747 pilot, not all of which would be repeatable in mixed company.
