2007 - Shooting Society News Summer

For those of you who receive our Newsletter you will have read the reports of our visits to Meon Springs and Lains. It was a bright and breezy day in February that 23 members and guests visited Meon Springs, Hampshire. We were welcomed by owner Nicholas Butler and his son Jamie to this new venue in a delightful lakeside setting.

2007 - End of Season Report

Glorious weather accompanied our final shoot day this year which was held at Compton Manor Estate, King's Somborne, a welcome return to this venue. The shooting ground run by Desmond Sturgess, provided members and their guests with sporting clays from ever changing directions, simulating both fur and feather.

2010 Handicaps & Results

At each of our club events, prizes are awarded for the highest scoring club member, guest and highest scoring gun following application of their handicap.

The handicaps are calculated by taking an average score for that gun attending their last 3 RSYC events over the last 4 years.
The difference between their 3 event average score and 80, which is the maximum number of clays for a gun on each sporting layout, is the gun’s handicap.
