Thank You for your interest in Membership of the Royal Southern Yacht Club.
Becoming a Member gives you access to our facilities both on and off of the water, as well as making you part of one of the most diverse and active yacht Clubs in the Solent. We have strong sections, all led by our Members, in Racing, Cruising, Youth and Motorboats. Each of these are equally well supported ashore in our Clubhouse.
Traditionally Membership begins when existing Members of the Club propose and second your application. Each of these Members must have known you personally for at least six months, and must have been full Members of the Club for two years or more. They will need to write to the Secretary in support of your application, and complete the details on page four of the application form.
Don't know any Members? Then you are welcome to apply for our provisional 'Temporary' Membership category. You will still be required to complete the application form but will not need supporting letters.
Temporary Membership is available for up to one year. We hope that during your Temporary Membership period you will get to know other Club Members who will be able to support your permanent Membership application.
Once you have submitted your applications and, for full Membership, your letters of support have been received you will be invited in to meet two members of the Club's Executive Committee. This meeting allows the Committee Members to get to know you, and for you to ask questions of us. Following this meeting the Committee representatives your application is submitted to the Executive Committee for approval.
An online Membership application form may be found to your right together with details of joining fees and annual subscriptions.
