The Club runs an extensive race programme.
Our summer series is made up of four weekend regattas that take place in May, June, July and September each year. You can enter the entire series or a single weekend depending on your availability.
Racing is provided for IRC, SBR and one-design fleets with 8 or more boats entered. On the Saturday night a crew party with food and music will be provided at the club. Entry to these weekend regattas are open to all, however members of the club are entitled to a significant discount on the entry fees.
In May and September there are passage races to Yarmouth and back for IRC and Club Classes. On the last May Bank Holiday there is the Deauville Race for IRC and Club Class. We also have a number of Class Championships during the season.
There are many ways to get involved with the racing that takes place at the Royal Southern. We have an online crew register for crew and boat owners to advertise wanted and available notices.
We encourage members to get involved with the race management. All our events are organised by a team of dedicated volunteers and we are always looking for help, whether it’s on the club RIB or the committee boat, there is always a job to do no matter what your level of experience is.
