| In response to suggestions and ideas from race officers Philip Gage and Peter Bateson we have made some significant changes to Racing pages which we hope will meet with your approval . |
Event Pages: To make it easier for all users of the site to find information and to add value to those who choose us to host events with us all racing events now have their own pages.
These pages are now live (the menu list to your left) however not all information for all events is yet available. |
| Crew Register: A complete new system, this time taking account of the different information required by crew and owners. The register is free to use by any registered website user after a verified registration process. Thanks to member Paul Waxman for the design input and for helping me test. |
Website Registration:
Over the last 2 years members only content on the website has dwindled to nothing as it turned out that few Members made use of the initial basic feature set.
At the time of writing we have only 2 features on the website that require a login: The Crew Register & The Youth Sailing Classifieds. These have always been open to non members to use after a simple registration process.
Policy now is to not issue website passwords to new members. Instead if Members wish to use the CR or YSC features they should simply register on the site. |
Existing and Old website accounts
All existing website access accounts are being purged of all but basic login information. Essentially, we are no longer storing any members personal information online. Once this is completed we will import these accounts which will then function as before.
Note that we are not importing any accounts whose owners have never logged in.
This work should be completed by 16th March but if you are in a hurry to use the CR then just register now. |
