Find below letter from Laurence Mead:
"Dear Solent keelboat racing competitor,
The Solent Cruiser Racing Association has traditionally been the forum through which all the different clubs put together a calendar of racing around the Solent.
With increasing demands on peoples times and more and more events in the calendar we are aware that a renewed focus needs to be brought to bear on putting together an exciting, but focused, calendar of events.
With that in mind and in order to bring clubs and competitors together the SCRA (on behalf of Solent yacht clubs) is organising a competitors forum to be held on the morning of Saturday October 26th between 0930 and 1230 at the Royal Southern Yacht Club.
Anybody interested in keelboat racing from one end of the Solent to the other is invited to come along.
The event will be chaired by Laurence Mead on behalf of the Solent cruiser racing Association and the full agenda will be circulated shortly. By the end of the morning we hope to have gathered practical ideas from competitors which will help shape the racing calendar over the next two or three years.
We would be delighted to see you at the event or to receive your feedback and ideas on the subject through the SCRA website and firstname.lastname@example.org"
