If you are not content with simply racing, or perhaps just prefer to travel in a more relaxed manner afloat, the RSrnYC Cruising Section boasts a fine and varied selection of activities for Members and friends to participate in.

During the course of each month throughout the season, the Cruising Committee have planned such a wide variety of events, that there is something going on just about every week.

Mid- week Rallies

These are a firm favourite with destinations to the Folly, Lymington, the Beaulieu River, Newtown Creek, Bembridge and Yarmouth.

The Solent is a different place during the week; it sometimes feels that we almost have it to ourselves.

That goes for the quiet anchorages too!

The Cruiser Races

Not that family racing is entirely ignored. We run the Solent Cruiser Race each spring over the May bank holiday weekend.

This is a real fun event for all the family, with three legs, one each day to a different destination in the Solent.

The added bonus is that thanks to the clever rules, you may use your engine for part of the race.

That way, nobody misses the pontoon or cockpit party! What parties they are too!

Cruiser Race

The week long 'Cruiser Race' takes place later in the summer and typically goes to either Normandy, Brittany or the West Country.

A real opportunity for the whole family to meet and make new friends, with great socialising at all levels on the lay days and after racing.
