We are now taking bookings for the Summer Cruise which will take place between Saturday 16th -Thursday 28th July inclusive. The event will start and finish in the Solent, taking in the Channel Islands. Great sailing, optional family friendly racing and plenty of opportunity to explore the locations at which we will be stopping including the sandy beaches with hog roasts and BBQs. |Saturday 16th July||Start of Cruise Dinner||Held at the Royal Southern. For those who would like berthing please contact Michael Lithgow.|
|Sunday 17th July||Breakfast Briefing at the Royal Southern||A relaxing start to the day with the Cruise and Race Brief over coffee and croissants.|
|Leg 1 - Hamble to Yarmouth||15nm. Berths have been booked for the Cruise at Yarmouth, with pontoon drinks in the evening.|
|Monday 18th July||Leg 2 - Yarmouth to Alderney||65nm. This is one of the longest legs with an early start around 0600. Full briefing will be provided for those who are crossing the Channel for the first time. You will be in company all of the way. We will either pick up a bouy or anchor in Braye Harbour.|
|Tuesday 19th July||Alderney - Rest Day||A day free to explore the Island. We will arrange a beach BBQ for those that would like to join in the early evening.|
|Wednesday 20th July||Leg 3 - Alderney to St. Peter Port||22nm. With the tide aiding you down to St. Peter Port, Guernsey. An early start to make the most of the tide and a mid-morning finish. we will have walk-ashore pontoons.|
|Thursday 21st July||Guernsey - Rest Day||Time to unwind on this beautiful island.|
|Friday 22nd July||Herm Hog Roast||We are exploring laying on a Hog Roast on Herm with a local ferry to take us across and back for those who do not wish to sail and anchor the very short distance - 6nm.|
|Saturday 23rd July||Leg 4 - St. Peter Port to St. Helier||22nm. Not to early a start and a mid-day finish in Jersey with walk-ashore pontoons.|
|Sunday 24th July||St. Helier - Rest Day||A chance to explore Gerald Durrell's zoo on Jersey or to spend time cycling around the island.|
|Monday 25th July||St Helier - Sark||7mn. Short trip. We will be anchoring and choice of location will depend on wind direction.|
|Tuesday 26th July||Sark - Rest Day||An island where time has stood still. No motor vehicles allowed. Just the peace and quiet of a unique island.|
|Wednesday 27th July||Leg 5 - Sark to Alderney||22nm. An early start to catch the north going tide, with an early finish in Braye quite early. To either bouy or anchor. We will have our end of cruise supper and prize giving that evening.|
|Thursday 28th July||Leg 6 - Alderney to Home||66nm to Yarmouth. We will have an early start around 0600. This will get us to the Needles with enough tide to sail all the way through to the Hamble or for those who would like a couple more days before returning to the helter-skelter of normal living. There is the option to stop off at Yarmouth or Lymington.|
To participate in the event, there is a £50 entry per boat. This goes towards prizes and helps to subsidise the final meal in Alderney. Berthing, food, drinks, outings and hog roast will be an additional cost.

Family Friendly Racing:
Alongside the Summer Cruise, we also run a racing event. This can be as relaxed or energetic as you wish. Dudley Stock will provide further details nearer the time.
