Fundraising Team
Welcome to the Fundraising Team
The Fundraising Team (FT) plays a key role in Club life, supporting and enhancing the social calendar with a wide range of fun, welcoming events throughout the year. Our aim is to bring members together, strengthen our Club community and raise funds for our chosen charities and Club enhancements.
Everything we do is made possible by our dedicated team of volunteers — from the Fundraising Core Team to the invaluable Helping Hands Team (HHT).
Our Goal for 2026
After a highly successful 2025, in which we raised £23,325, our challenge for 2026 is to build on this achievement and raise even more.
This year, we are proud to support Alzheimer’s in Hampshire & Hamble Lifeboat alongside fundraising for Club enhancements that benefit all members.
A key focus for 2026 is widening our reach – encouraging all Club members to get involved by attending events, donating, volunteering, sharing ideas or simply spreading the word.
How We Work
The FT is led by a Core Team, responsible for planning and delivering the annual programme of events and ensuring everything runs smoothly throughout the year. Working closely with the Club, the team helps enrich the social calendar by delivering events that are enjoyable, inclusive and for occasions such as our Coffee Mornings and the Christmas Fayre strongly community-focused.
The Core Team is supported by three Co-Chairs, who share leadership and responsibilities. Now in its second year HHT plays a vital role, offering flexible support that helps us deliver a busy and varied programme. Meeting quarterly in a relaxed and friendly setting, the HHT supports the team by:
- Helping at events (serving, welcoming guests, setting up)
- Baking or contributing food where needed
- Sharing ideas and suggestions
- Supporting event organisers as and when they are available
This flexible support is critical to the smooth running of our programme.
Get Involved
There are lots of ways to support the Fundraising Team:
- Join the Core Team
- Be part of the Helping Hands Team
- Volunteer at individual events
- Or simply attend and enjoy the events we organise
Every contribution, however small it may seem, helps us raise more funds, enhance the Club’s social life and strengthen our Club community.
Help us and get involved or to find out more, please contact Lisa Bradbury-Knight, our Members Liaison, or speak to one of the Fundraising Team Chairs.
Thank you for your continued support — we look forward to another fun, successful and rewarding year together in 2026.
