Christmas may still feel a little way off, but preparations are well underway at the Club — especially with the RSrnYC Christmas cards set to go on sale at the Christmas Fayre on November 8th.
Following the success of last year’s card, Sandie Llewellin, working with the Fundraising Team, invited all Club Members and Splashers to submit festive designs for the 2025 Club Christmas card. The response was fantastic, with 13 adult and 6 Splashers entries — each full of creativity and holiday cheer.
On Friday, 3rd October, members gathered to view the artwork and vote for their favourites. Around 60 members took part, enjoying a lively evening celebrating the wonderful variety and high standard of designs. As one member put it, “I wish I could vote for them all!”
Our congratulations go to Tony Smith, Overseas Member, whose design received the most votes, and to Helen Berry, runner-up. Well done also to our talented young artists Orla Hillman and Florence Russell, whose Splashers entries proved most popular.

A big thank you to everyone who took part — Pat Aspinall, Bill Blain, Janet Bradbury, Jan Halliday, Judy Kerr, Sue Nevard, Kerry Richardson, Katie Vigar and Jenny Walton. Also to our Splashers Hugo Russell, Lexie Truswell, Bella Turner and Millie Turner who all received Certificates signed by the Commodore and the Chair of the FT. A special thank you to Sandie Llewellin for organising the event, managing the printing and sale of the cards. Her hard work and enthusiasm have made this a wonderful new Club tradition.

We can’t wait to see the finished cards on sale at the Christmas Fayre and other Club events — they’re sure to be a sell-out success! All proceeds will go to the Fundraising Team’s chosen good causes – Mountbatten Hampshire, Wetwheels Hamble and the Club.
