Thanks to the outstanding generosity and enthusiasm of our Club Members, the Fundraising Team (FT) raised an impressive £19,000 in 2024 for their chosen good causes – including £6,000 dedicated to Club Enhancements.
Working hand in hand with the Club Management and Executive Team, the FT was thrilled to help deliver a series of upgrades that members have been able to enjoy throughout the year.
In February, the Clubhouse came alive with the arrival of a brand-new Samsung 83” TV and state-of-the-art sound system, transforming the atmosphere for major sporting events including rugby, tennis and sailing, – and now also enhancing our Club lectures and meetings with crystal-clear visuals and sound.
By July, as summer reached its peak, members could unwind in even greater comfort thanks to the FT’s funding of stylish balcony furniture and elegant new table and chair sets for the River Room terrace — five new tables and four table sets — creating the perfect spot to enjoy riverside drinks and summer gatherings.
These upgrades are a shining example of how fundraising directly enhances our Club experience. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who attended, donated, and supported FT events – your generosity continues to make a visible and lasting difference to our community!
